First off, there’s LOADS of cooking space. Specifically, 474 square inches, which is made up of 368 square inches over the cooking grates, and an extra 106 square inches on the warming rack, which is great for toasting buns on.
It’s stand out feature is the height-adjustable charcoal pan. We love this because it means that, while it can be tricky to control the amount of heat coming off the charcoal, adjusting the height of the pan can control how quickly your food cooks.
Then control of the cooking becomes easier still the use of both the built-in thermometer and the damper at the back of the grill, which can be used to adjust the airflow.
There’s also a door at the front of the grill that you can open to add more coals or to stoke the fire a little.
The charcoal pan has loads of piercings, all evenly positioned to allow air circulation for the fire, and this even positioning helps to give you more even heating on your foods.
The grill grates themselves are porcelain-enameled, which makes them a breeze to clean.
And speaking of being easy to clean, we also love how all the falls out into a special ash tray, which you simply draw out from underneath the grill when you’re ready to dispose of it.
We love how it’s set up to be somewhat portable, which two large wheels that can easily roll over your lawn, and two flat legs on the other side to ensure stability when you’ve got the grill in position.
The fold-out tables on either side of the grill can come in really handy, whether you want to use them for sauces, or plating up.
Plus there’s a further large storage shelf underneath, where you can stash your second servings before you get grilling them.
If you want to store the grill in your backyard, we recommend that you buy the cover to go of it and protect it from the weather. It’s available through Amazon.

Best Grill under 200 Buying Guide
As promised, here’s your buying guide. This will cover the main points for you and help guide your decision.
Type of grill
There are three main types of grill that you can get: electric, charcoal, and propane. (If you like that wood chip taste, you might prefer to go for a smoker instead of a grill.)
It’s pretty hard to say which is the best type of grill overall, they all have their pros and cons.
With an electric grill, you’ll need to either keep the grill close to a socket, which is great for enjoying food in your kitchen, but it isn’t much good for eating alfresco.
Some people like a charcoal taste on their grilled meats, but most people don’t - that’s a personal thing. One of the reasons a lot of people go for charcoal over propane is because, as a general rule, it is usually cheaper.
We managed to include all three types in our top 5 picks we showed you earlier.
The amount of cooking space you have available determines how many people you can cook for, and how many batches you will have to cook.
So, generally the more space you have the better, especially for a big cookout with a large group of people.
This does not mean necessarily mean that you need as many burners on the grill as possible - you can usually make do with just the one.
In our product reviews earlier you may have seen us refer to a grill’s BTU. BTU stands for British Thermal Unit, and it describes how much heat is thrown out from the grill.
The larger the number, the more heat is thrown out. Something to look out for if you like your sear marks.
