Green Life Pans Reviews

Whether you cook because you have to, or because you love to, you’ll know that having the right cookware can make a big difference to how easily and quickly your food cooks, but also how good it tastes, too.

Non-stick pans are great for minimizing the amount of oil required to cook your food, and for decreasing your clean-up time too, however, non-stick pans have raised concerns in the past over the toxicity of the materials used, and the damage these cause to the environment, as well as to our bodies.

That’s where GreenLife comes in.

Their cookware is derived from healthy, non-toxic materials that are kind to you, and to the planet. But how effective are these pans, and are they worth the hype?

Keep reading to find out more…

Who is GreenLife?

GreenLife is the manufacturer of Thermolon™, the first natural ceramic nonstick coating. Traditional nonstick coatings are manufactured with harmful chemicals, and, when overheated, these coatings release toxic fumes.

Thermolon™ is different as it can withstand high heat and won’t chip or peel when overheated the way traditional coatings do. GreenLife’s cookware is also free of PFAS, PFOA, Lead, and Cadmium.

Green Life Pans Buying Guide

What we like about GreenLife Pans

Environmentally friendly

We love the ethos behind GreenLife pans and they’re perfect for taking those small steps towards making our daily lives that little bit greener.

The curing phase that GreenLife’s coating goes through creates 60% less CO2 than the curing phase for traditional coatings, meaning you reduce your carbon footprint.

Their pans are also made from recycled aluminum.

Safe and healthy

We’ve all heard the horror stories about the health risks of traditional non-stick coatings, but GreenLife is Toxin-free and extra clean; it’s derived from sand and is free of PFAS, PFOA, lead, and cadmium.

So you can have peace of mind that the cookware you’re using is safe for both your family and the environment.

Convenient to clean

We love how convenient these pans are to use and clean. Most nonstick pans have to be hand cleaned, whereas GreenLife’s pans are dishwasher safe.

They can also be heated in the oven up to 350°F providing versatility for cooking a range of dishes.

Great design

From the colored aluminum body which adds a pop of color to your kitchen, to the stay-cool Bakelite handle, these pans are designed to feel good when you’re handling them and look great.

What we dislike about GreenLife pans

Not the most durable

Despite claiming to be ultra-durable and tough, it seems GreenLife’s non-stick coating isn’t quite as fail-proof as it claims, however, this could also be down to how people use and care for the pans, which we’ll go over in the next section.

Issues with handles

While this wasn’t an experience we had, a minority of users have had some issues with the handles of these pans, which again comes down to durability.

Considering the low price point of these pans, this isn’t too surprising.

Caring for your GreenLife pans

  • Use a little bit of butter or oil, but no spray oils
  • Use low to medium heat and avoid high heat as this can wear the non-stick surface down
  • Use wood and nylon utensils to prevent scratches
  • Let the pan cool down before you wash it
  • Use a soft sponge to avoid scratching the nonstick surface

Final Say

GreenLife offers an environmentally friendly and healthy alternative to nonstick pans, and they also stand-out for their convenience, as they can be used in the oven and are dishwasher safe too, unlike some of the competitor’s nonstick pans.

We like the range of colors available from GreenLife and the affordable price point.

There are certainly some areas that could be improved in terms of the quality of the product, as not everyone has had positive experiences with the durability of the nonstick coating and Bakelite handles.

That said, for the price, there is going to be some compromises, and as more of us switch to healthy, environmentally friendly alternatives, hopefully GreenLife improves in these areas to ensure they remain among the frontrunners of the market.
